FORMS OF NATURE

(2016- Present)

Series of works inspired by the variety of forms present in the botanical world. Some parts of work are focusing on the outer form of the plants represented, while the others interpret the inner structure of their elements, playing with the repetition of different patterns on the big and small scale. All the works have been created using different kinds of textile. Pieces of different textures and colours have been hand-sewn together and painted using ink, acrylic, pencil and watercolour. Some part of the drawing has been done using different coloured strings. The series is inspired by the old tapestries form, treated in a new, contemporary way. Most of the pieces are made on loose canvas without frame.
